Story of Simon and the Angel Simon went to his job again today as he had been doing for the past 21 years. Today, however would be different as he would have an encounter with an Angel. Hey but I’m getting way ahead of myself. After 21 years Simon hated his job but he had a wonderful loving wife and 4 kids to support so he would endure another day in “Hades” for their sake he told himself. The problem was he would come home from work irritable every night and without thinking take it out on his wife and kids. Several months back he remembers his wife saying, “Simon dear if you hate your job so much why don’t you do something else?’ He remembers saying to his wife that he had to stay on his job to support them. To which his wife said next “You may be supporting us financially but you’re killing us emotionally. What are you doing to the kids emotionally by them seeing how badly you hate what you’re doing? And you can’t be performing as well as you could with a job you hate. What about that business you talked about starting. I’ve seen the job in your face when you talk about it. I know you’ve said it’s too risky, but have you considered the risk to your health from all the stress you’re under and is this how you want the kids thinking of you – as a big stressed out grouch?” Simon was thinking about this when a deer ran out of some trees and in front of his car. He swerved to miss the deer, lost control of the car and ended up running into a tree. After Simon sat stunned in his car for what seemed like several minutes he noticed a man looking through his driver’s window. “The man said you’ll be okay Simon but I had to get your attention. Simon you’re going no where, you’re stuck in a rut. Life is supposed to be an Adventure – you were created by your creator for a mission to uplift others and make a contribution to others. Your Creator did not create you for some dead-end job to be hated your entire life. The man went on “You will be absolutely amazed at what you can accomplish when you are on the right mission, and you’re only kidding yourself if you think you can best provide for your family doing something you dislike. Your Creator designed you to be special and not be in want – after all doesn’t he own the cattle on a thousand hills. I encourage you to go for it, don’t live a lifetime of regrets for things you didn’t do. Simon shut his eyes to think for a minute about all that was said and when he opened them the stranger was gone. Simon thought that must have been my guardian angel. So I suppose you wonder what Simon did next, did he start that business, and what about his job? Actually the author purposely doesn’t record what Simon did next, because you see, does it really matter what Simon did? We each must do what we can do. The only important thing is what each of us do next, we each write the end of our own story. So What Can This Adventure Game Do For You.
